Hummingbird Moth

An extremely quiet day...so humid and somewhat hot that no one wants to be outside.  Even cars rarely pass the house today.  It feels like the middle of lockdown again.  We saw the hummers drinking and fighting in the backyard, and then this moth.

We watched the dignified transfer of the fallen at Dover Air Force Base and otherwise, left the tv off.  I keep hearing an earworm "This much madness is too much sorrow."  (Neil Young)  We've been reading all day.  What a luxury!
