Sunday Funday

I started the day with a lovely mid-morning meeting with a potential board member out at Cistus Nursery on Sauvie Island...owned by the president of the botanical garden. The new board member is a terrific fit and we'll vote him in soon.

Then I picked up the grandchildren and we went off to my house, enjoyed a picnic on the deck. It was hot, and my husband was testing the irrigation system, so my granddaughter and I got soaking wet, which was a lot of fun on a hot afternoon. 

I managed to catch this dahlia on one of my passes through the garden and the irrigation ;-)

I used the remains of last night's grilled baby potatoes to make a chicken/potato salad for dinner tonight....I'm very much looking forward to tasting it...and, the best part is that dinner is DONE!
