Charcuterie
I asked the granddaughter to bring snacks for her dad's birthday dinner, and frankly I was expecting chips, and maybe guacamole. This is just one of the platters she assembled: several kinds of cheese and crackers, dried fruit, chocolate, nuts, fresh fruit, and folded and pleated slices of very good salami and prosciutto. She just looked it up on Pinterest. Sometimes the internet is a wonderful thing. We could have made a meal of these delicacies, but somehow we all had room for everything else that followed. It was a good time, and the fog held off long enough to enjoy it all outside.
