Lots of shells collected

The grandchildren liked collecting shells…particularly the flat periwinkles which were in lots of different colours. They said the little yellow ones were like corn! I used to teach Seashore Ecology as part of A level Biology but am very rusty on the different species. Fortunately there was an Observer book in our rented house to help. So here is what we found, hopefully the grandchildren will remember some of them for next year. We have brought home a few of each type.
