Up, up and away!

While meandering along the canal towpath this afternoon, we heard an unusual aircraft engine note and looked up to see a Supermarine Spitfire roar overhead. A quick Google showed that there were flights happening out of our local “airport” at a cost of £3000 and upwards - and they are fully booked for the next few days! So we just had to rush off and try for a few photos.
Today’s extra is of this same aircraft sitting on the tarmac waiting for the next customer. 
The “Spit” is in my top five of the worlds most beautiful planes, along with (in no particular order) the Hawker Fury, De Havilland Mosquito, Lockheed Constellation and, of course, Concorde.
