Dog Day

It was a bright enough day but the driver who brought the firewood started it rather rudely. I think everyone round here is depressed about the weather forecast. They are promising -20 for the weekend and not much better next week. I have draped a sheet over the back door to reduce the draught.

We are now worried about the storks that have arrived in the Biebrza marshes.

Wet firewood doesn't yield the same heat as the dry stuff we have been burning up to now. There should have been enough.

Muttley and Lucky (in particular ) know how to keep warm.
