Favourites
Tomorrow I head back to school after a lovely ‘restful’ summer holiday. Everything is ready - I hope! I’ve certainly done enough prep for it to be ready.
It has meant that I left the house only once today - to pick up some apples from my aunts, so no chance of a blip.
Instead I am blipping my favourite earrings (and the most expensive pair I own!). In 2003 I went to NZ for a 7 week holiday and as part of it I flew over to Melbourne to see my aunt. She took great pride in showing me the sights and we had a day in the city centre and visited the Melbourne art gallery, which was awesome in itself. On the ground floor was an ‘alley’ of arty gift shops. I walked into one and saw the price of the art and nearly walked out but I decided to wander round pretending I was interested in purchasing something for a few thousand dollars!!! And boy was I glad I did, down one side of the gallery was a vast array of dichroic glass jewellery. I had never seen it before and fell in love. It was so hard picking just one set of earrings but these were the pair that I chose. They cost me well over a £100 which I though was stupid money but I wanted them! I have certainly had my money’s worth out of them. They are one of only a very few pairs that don’t irritate my ears so I can wear them constantly (and do). So of course I got them out ready for tomorrow- and of course blip!
