Turmeric v. Ginger

These two plants are related, but the contrast is marked! They were both planted at the same time and in the same soil - lots of compost - as they both like rich soil. They get watered the same amount too. But the Turmeric (in the background) is thriving and even flowering plenty this year, while the Ginger (in the foreground) is overshadowed by it and about a tenth of the size!
Still I am grateful for both of them as they are superfoods!

Grateful also that the longest war in American history has now ended! Not as tidily as we wanted but it’s over! Praying for those left behind!
