The dropped stitch

A beaver was here

A pleasant walk near Dunkeld this evening in search of beavers. Reintroduced into Scotland in 2008, it seems not everyone is pleased to have them around.

No sightings tonight, but there was plenty of evidence they were not far away - including gnawed tree trunks like this one.

Realising we none of us knew much about the animal we'd been looking for, M did a bit of research and provided everyone with 101 facts about beavers, while I made a curry for tea.

The extra is of the path taking us under the A9 - a bit unnerving, but far preferable to driving along it.
