Hurricane Ida ...

... as portrayed this morning on TV 5 Monde, the French news channel that is an important part of our daily TV watching.   As you probably have figured out, the French word for hurricane is ouragon (pronounced ooh-rah-gon), which I find amusing  :)  The following phrase is "the damage in Louisiana"--plural in French.  

The rain from Ida will probably be substantial, but it won't reach us for at least a couple more days.
