A new home

Today we visited our friends at their new home: at least it will be when they move in very shortly.  It is very different to their previous house but equally lovely.  Our friends are still awaiting the bulk of their packed boxes and they are not looking forward to supervising the unloading of them and worse still, the unpacking of them.
Today is B's birthday, so we celebrated by having lunch at a nearby restaurant.  How lovely it is  -  and still rather a novelty - to go out and do such ordinary things with little or no restrictions.
I have not, of course, photographed our friends' new home: that would be especially unwise when they are yet to move in.  Instead I've taken a picture of our new fairy house which will go in the fairy garden I crated for Violet a couple of years ago.  It has been rather neglected this year I'm afraid but hopefully I'll get back to it next Spring.
Weather note:  Here in S E England the skies remain totally leaden and it is even rather cool too.  No change is forecast for the next few days unfortunately.
