Sana Junction
So, after yesterday's concern with the car, I asked G if she would do the driving this morning. As we approached the junction that we begin 99% of our journeys from the lights turned red. I was happily getting this shot when G suddenly exclaimed, "I can't stop the car!" I put the camera down to try to see what was going on, to look out the windscreen and watch us slowly approaching the car in front (a Lexus SUV). Then, with its help, we came to a halt!
I grabbed my mask, ready to step out and check the damage, but the owner of the car got there first. He did a thorough inspection and then approached G to ask why she bumped into the back of his vehicle! As it was just a smack, he decided he didn't want to pursue anything, despite our offer for him to take our number if he changed his mind. Phew!
G then drove to the nearest car park and did some tests with the car to ensure that it will stop when we need it. It did. She decided that driving to school was not a safe option and headed straight to the garage instead. Of course, during the test drive, the car behaved like an angel with everything working perfectly, smooth gear changes and all!
We got dropped off at Festival City. It's easier to get a taxi from there and we also needed to do a small shop. We jumped into a taxi to get home in time for lunch and stayed put for the rest of the day. No car, so we'll see how far we get with what needs to be done! It allowed me time to tackle the ironing!
