East African grey crowned crane

Today, for something completely different, we visited The Wild Place in Bristol, run by the Bristol Zoological Society. We had been given tickets by our son as a Christmas present (last Christmas),  This was our first opportunity to use the tickets.

We had a very enjoyable few hours, and I had the best choice of images for a blip that I have had in ages. I chose this one for the splendid crown on the bird's head.
