I had a Tiny Tuesday blip lined up then realised that I had forgotten to blip the Angela Harding calendar.
This is, as most will recognise, a Golden Eagle. The annotation tells us that she has seen only one, in her twenties and cycling between inverness and Ullapool, when an eagle flew overhead.
In similar circumstances, some years ago while we were seated at a picnic table at Calgary Bay on Mull, a sea eagle drifted past, aligned with the rising ground just a few feet away from us. When seen so closely the birds never fail to make a lasting impression.
