Sun of the Fells


This is a close up of one part of Laila Pullinen's Sun of the Fells relief which shows the movement of natural forces. It is made of Finnish copper, and in total it is 4 x 9 metres.

The work was completed for the Montreal World Expo (1967).

By 1969, it had returned and was located to Helsinki-Vantaa airport's new terminal building. Then in the summer of 2009, it was located to the long-haul flights area.
