Borrowby, North Yorkshire

Borrowby is just s few miles down the road to me. It is a so-called Hillside Village and was mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086. It lays where the flat Vale of Mowbray starts to rise towards the North York Moors.

The layout of the village have changed very little over time and although they have found a use for the old telephone box to house a defibrillator a new use for the bus stop signs is yet to be decided. I'm sure it has been some time since the last charabanc passed through...
