Maize Flower

We currently have an open fire and have decided to replace it with a more efficient form of heating. So today we visited a showroom to look at alternatives. A very helpful assistant came to our aid and was able to give some excellent advice.

On the way back we gave Jet a quick walk on Strensall Common a Heath used for military training to the east of York.

This afternoon it was a short walk from the house. The photo was taken as we walked along the edge of a field of Maize. Needless to say it was taller than I am. Quite liked this tufted flower.
