New Season New Project
I was not going to do anything new in the garden, done lots during lockdown so I need to now concentrate on maintaining what I've got.
But maintenance is boring
Earlier in the year we put down a paddling pool for the grandkids. Months later you can still see the dead circle in the lawn where it was located. So we needed to do something
One idea was to reseed the patch
Another was to dig a few turfs from round the garden to patch in.
A third idea was to take up part of the patio and the whole of the path down to the greenhouse and the allotment, break up the raised beds (only three initially), put an edge in that curves around taking out some of the lawn (but misses the bald patch), cover it with weed suppressant and up to 10 tons of plum slate chippings, dig out a small wild life pond, plant the whole area up with variety of flowers, shrubs and trees and buy a new wooden arbor to sit in enjoying the morning sun.
You will never guess which option we have chosen
