Good Morning Sunshine!

I am always struck by the simple things in life, like a beautiful sunrise.
As I was driving at a high point in the road, I could see the mountains in the background, through the trees. It was dawn and the sun had not yet risen, but I could see the glow of it beginning to appear. Suddenly, I could see the mountain range across the lake. There was a beautiful pink glow that outlined every peak. The clouds behind the mountains were still dark, and it made the pink glow even more noticeable and beautiful. as the sky began to lighten. Unfortunately, there was no where for me to stop safely on the windy road, to get a good shot. I had to continue driving down the mountain road and head over to the lake. I kept thinking to myself, "don't you dare fade out before I get there!" But, of course it had faded behind the clouds by then.

Finally, the sun began to rise. As it did it gently kissed the peaks of the mou ntains one by one , beginning with Mt. Washington. The snow on the mountain glowed like a lighted star on a Christmas tree. It was as if Mother Nature was opening the curtains, to let the light shine in as she said "good morning, sunshine!"
