It was a beautiful warm morning for a walk through the nature reserve at Aberlady and along the beaches passing volunteers who were busy erecting the posts ready for the sheep which will winter on the reserve.  Near Gullane Point someone had made a stone stack through which it was possible to see a ship at anchor.  Extra The view towards the point shows the ship, the Navigare Terra Mater waiting to load up with crude oil at Hound Point.   Dozens of Greylag geese were feeding on Aberlady Bay this morning and it won’t be long before they are joined by thousands of Pink footed geese resting on their migration from the Arctic.  Autumn is not far away.
