Bristol, city of murals
Long day.
Up early for some work then a series of meetings. TallGirl popped out to collect Crispy Cremes for breakfast, then more meetings, then off to collect the keys for her year 2 uni apartment. Exactly the shambolic performance I would expect from the letting agent, and I had to come over all lawyer to make sure the girls (her flatmate J was there too) weren’t bullied into signing a ‘good condition’ inventory without even seeing the apartment.
Then off to actually see it (it is fine, but good condition is pushing it) and off to work for me. Later, shopping, more work, and a trip to see our friends J&J who were safeguarding K’s stuff since June. They have been hit hard with the Covid stick and Mr J is still suffering the effects. But it was lovely to see them and we left with promises of a much more fun visit soon.
Home to offload into the flat (and meet M, the flatmate no one knows yet - who seemed lovely) and then on to dinner. This mural was on the way to the best falafel place in town, which was unaccountably closed , so we had a fine Greek meal instead. Much admin to do about the journey tomorrow as the trains from Bristol are broken.
