...to those who wait

If it's true that everything comes to those who wait, my reward today was this, my first sunflower bloom. 
It's a meagre specimen compared to the beauties I have seen recently on Blip, but nevertheless, I am very happy it has flowered - at last. 

My first day back at work today - with a bit of a heavy heart. 
One householder told me this was the first day of her retirement. Aged 87, she has wound up her company and is ready to devote her energies to other projects.
Oh my..... I hope I don't have to wait that long!
