Looking West

My friend Paul Larson came round to the apartment this afternoon with his wife. As the sun was making a last stand, Paul picked up my carbon fibre guitar and played some of his favourite songs. He wouldn't say so but he is a pretty accomplished finger picker.

Why is it the only string that is ever flat is the B string?
