The number of new cases of Covid reported today was down to 49

(Interrupted by a call to dinner and a simultaneous phone call)

Most of the new cases have been close contacts of cases, and only a small number were active in the community while likely to be infectious. And by active the authorities mean that they went (as is permitted) to the supermarket etc. 

I expect that there will be a bit if a zigzag line for the next week or two, and just hope that the trend is downward. Day 15 today.

I've added, as an extra, the photo I was going to post until I saw and photographed the sunset. I heard the sound of the kereru's wing-beats, and followed it to the tree where it fed on fresh new leaves.
