VITRVIUS SCOTICUS
is a volume of drawings covering the works of William who was the Architect of the House of Dun. Indeed the House of Dun is illustrated by 5 pages of drawing.
Yesterday, on our visit we saw a copy of the original volume which is a weighty volume opened out and exhibited in a display cabinet.
However, I have my own paperback version which is much smaller. The plans and elevations are the same.
It is a companion to several similar books which occupy a shelf nearby to my favourite chair.
Pat and I have spent quite a part of today discussing the House and the various photos we took.
I asked if her she saw anything unusual about the kitchen clock.
No.
Neither did I until I examined my photo more carefully. I have attached it as an extra. Perhaps someone might have an idea why the clock is hung on the wall in this way.
