Loughrigg Tarn

A drive into the Lakes as the weather was set fair.  First time for a few weeks.  Wasn't sure where I would end up, but the car turned left in Ambleside and we headed for Loughrigg Tarn (see extra too).  So quiet there - had the plan to myself for most of the time.  Lovely to sit quietly taking it all in - the scenery, the weather, and the ambience.  After a busy few weeks, and some difficult relationship issues, a bit of calm was called for.

From here to Great Langdale and a walk to Chapel Stile.  Lunch at Wainwrights pub sitting outside.  Delicious.

Then to Blackwell for a cup of tea (and there may have been a Florentine too) in the glorious sunshine.

Home via Newby Bridge.

Lovely day to myself.
