Doing What You Can

Last night the mother of a good friend passed away in her sleep.  It's probably the best way to go but the fact that she's gone is the hard part.
     Nothing anybody can do will make the pain of loss go away so we do the next best thing we can.  We offer food as a way of saying, "We love you, we support you, and we share your grief."
      I remember hearing once that happiness shared is doubled and sadness shared is halved.
