The last of summer ?

This is Loch Fyne late this afternoon.   I took the picture on my way back from Oban where I had been having lunch with a friend.

After the cloud burnt off the day was beautiful, once again.   I had thought yesterday might be the end of summer (it being officially the first day of autumn) but the warmth and brightness is hanging on.

It is especially wonderful in the Argyll land and seascape.
