A curious anomaly

When I was at JFK (okay, okay, this blip is over 24 hours old), I wandered into the airport bookstore. To my amazement, Colm Tóibín’s THE MASTER was prominently featured on the bestseller shelf. Don’t get me wrong: this is a truly great work of fiction. But I would never have expected a delicately written, psychologically nuanced novel about the life of Henry James to be selling in large quantities at airports.
