Old cottages

This is a terrace of two cottages, probably belonging to the farm that adjoins them, in Amandi, Villaviciosa. I´m intrigued by the skylight windows, because I´ve seen the arrangement before, in cottages for workers in the watchmaking industry in Coventry: the light allowed the workers to earn their pay. In Amandi there was never a watchmaking industry, of course, but not any other intricate work either, as far as I know. So I don´t know why they´re as they are. I´ve posted them though because I like the image photographically.
