Magnolia, harbinger of Spring?

Doesn't seem that way today! I woke to hear on the radio that parts of the country have had 15 feet drifts - extraordinary!
Our lovely magnolia has usually been in bloom for a couple of weeks by now but this year has wisely kept its buds tightly closed.
