Delayed

For the last (of few) outing of their school holidays, 13yo, 17yo and I headed across to Skipton for the first time in eighteen months. 

We pottered about, went for a walk in the woods, they had waffles and we discovered that the toy and game shop and the Aireville Park playground have both mysteriously disappeared during the pandemic. 

On returning to the station we discovered a five hour delayed service being displayed - and we later learned it was a sad incident of a collision between a train and a bull on the Settle-Carlisle route. The bull didn’t survive and it must have been an unsettling incident for the driver.
