Cruickshank Fountain

I held off blipping while I waited for the promised sunshine to arrive but there wasn't much of it when it when it finally came.

I photographed this a few times including for the Sculpture Project.  A few times the cherub has been missing as it regularly seems to be away getting repaired.  Good to see it was there today.

Interesting note on the detail.  Just above the cherub are two alligators making their way down.  They are considered a sign of evil and a reminder of the mortality of humanity.
