My Uncle used to have his chiropody surgery in one of the old houses on the right. It’s a steep street to traverse if you have bad feet. My Dad was a chiropodist, now known as a podiatrist, as he custom made orthotics as well. He used to get very irritated by people calling him a shiropodist and pointed out the chemist wasn’t pronounced shemist.
