Bluebird Drive-Thru
Eastern Bluebirds love the Upper Pennisula of Michigan, but migrate to southern west Michigan during winter months. We see them on our bird feeders competing with aggressive house sparrows and starlings.
The male has a bright blue back, forehead, crown, shoulders, wings, and tail. The throat and breast are rust, with a small white patch at the chin. The female's blue is pale, gray-blue on the head and back. The female's posture while sitting is usually hunched, the legs not outstretched.
We have a little nesting box in our back yard. Bluebird House
