School’s almost here again!

Today we had our first full day of looking after our Gloucestershire grandchildren as their parents both returned to their busy jobs this week. This has been one of the reasons for our move south to help out with the childcare alongside their father’s parents.

As many are privileged to know, seeing the 21st century through the fresh eyes and brains of the young is a delight. Today’s activities were varied, entertaining and highly creative and all child initiated!

Schools here begin next week. We were out and about most of the day and were surprised by how few other children were out. The playground with a zip wire was completely deserted. I even wondered if a latter day Pied Piper had been piping by! More likely that they were all in town having haircuts and last minute school uniform fitting!

The sun finally reappeared here today too!
