Toy Library

Well, not quite.

Our lovely neighbour realised she had no suitable toys for her 5 year-old nephew staying for the weekend so asked if we had anything suitable from the Flumlet's toybox that he might borrow. 

I sorted out a range of things he might like (depending on the weather and other unknown factors) like the beanbags-and-buckets, the Silly Sentences and one or two other things but one appeared to be an immediate hit. A long time ago the Flumlet arrived with a long bootlace, which we converted into a 'fishing rod' and tied on a magnet instead of a hook; we cut out fish shapes and attached a paperclip and had a happy time fishing.  Our new wee friend took to this on the doorstep even as we were discussing the options and we later received a WhatsApp of him playing with it.

He had noticed my camera by the front door, so I offered to take his photo with his Auntie, I'll forward a copy to them tomorrow..
