Bloody Island

This is one of the many part renovated ancient buildings in the what was the British Navy Hospital on the Illa del Rei , on an Island in Mahon’s  capacious harbour.

It now houses, in addition to the renovated hospital rooms, an art exhibition by Hauser and Wirth depicting the earth, countries and the flight path of immigrants over the years.

The amazing thing is the buildings feature as part of the exhibition  and the use of space and light is a key feature of this ‘well worth visiting’ event ........if you happen to be in Menorca!!

The Art Director, I think, is a person called Mike Crawford who deserves accolades. If I’m wrong I’ll correct ASAP.
