If you've never seen a baby Asian elephant trying to squeeze under an electric fence, now's your chance.

This was a visit to a place called Sampoiniet in Aceh where we have a forest conservation project involving a team of elephants that can respond to conflicts between local people and wild elephants. The elephant base may be developed as an eco-tourism site so we were the guinea pigs checking out how it might all work.

The day before this the baby got out from under the fence and the mother was so panicked that she just broke the fence to follow it, throwing the handler off her back and onto the fence. He laughed it off!
