Roof Tiles Factory, Cowie

I've seen this factory often, usually from the M9 motorway, or closer to hand on the way to Plean. Went a bit nearer today to have a look at it, as it reminded me of Milton's 'dark satanic mills' reference (though I think the Grangemouth complex just down the road may be a better fit there).
The colour treatment is harsh, but better illustrates what is being released into the big blue sky. 
Conversely, creation of the factory appeared to be very welcome in the area at the time, after Thatcher's destruction of the coal industry in those parts. And we all use tiles, one way or another. 
Life is full of compromise, even if it ain't pretty.
