Time Travel

The village of Alderton (Northamptonshire) is small (estimated population 109) and feels untouched by modern life. Their annual art festival takes place this weekend, showing a surprising variety and quantity of works for sale. Tea, cakes, a barbeque and real ale also helped attract visitors. There's the remains of Norman Castle nearby and a few lovely thatched buildings, most of them several hundred years old.

To think that I was born and raised in the county, but had never visited Alderton until today.
