2:40?
A shot of a hoverfly attempting to tell the time via one of the Japanese Anemones today. Its got it hopelessly wrong as its almost 6pm at this point. I've recently acquired a 50mm (non macro) prime lens and was keen to see how sharp it was wide open at f1.8. The answer appears to be very sharp, (as you can see if you go large), which I was both pleased and awed by.
Its been a glorious return to summer weather here. The conditions have been just about perfect, sunny but not too hot, with a pleasant wind. So it was with some reluctance that I sat down in front of a screen to watch a Zoom talk given by landscape photographer Paul Mitchell entitled chasing. Fortunately the quality of the talk more than made up for it. The key take away point was unsurprisingly, that you need to get up early to get the best light ;-)
