Arnside

We spent a really pleasant day attending a cookery workshop in Hale, south Cumbria.  Today's subject was Fish and Seafood.  

We prepared and made (and consumed) smoked mackerel and lemon fishcakes, 5 minute Hollandaise Sauce, plaice wrapped in parma ham with walnut filling, and seafood parcels with a mussel and butter sauce (see extra).  We learnt how to fillet a fish and also watched Angela prepare smoked haddock chowder.  It was great fun learning from them.

We left late afternoon feeling rather full from all the delicious food and headed to Arnside for a cup of tea and leg stretch.

Great day and great fun.
