Birthday Week

Young Louie is one year old this week and he had his party for his family and friends.  What a lovely time we all had!  Louie had a nap half way through but the rest of us managed to talk and eat our way through the afternoon.

Many of us were surrounded by the memories of Louie's granny Gill, my sister,  who never got to meet Louie in the flesh. I am sure she was with us all in spirit but how we long for her to have had the strength and courage and peace to have been able to have her stay with us.

Louie's party was all about where the wild things are so his lovely mommy made cupcakes which went along with that theme.  They were delicious.
