Zinnia
We set off promptly for our drive home this morning but a driver had decided to crash into the central reservation in his/her BMW just before 8am this morning on the M4. The severely crushed car was being towed as we passed. The police had completely closed the section of motorway but had reopened one lane by the time we passed. It’s always slow driving around Bristol on the M5 but we eventually made it home. My husband detests motorway service stations but I need a quick visit now and again.
My zinnia flower is now in full bloom although the leaves have been devoured by slugs despite it being in a pot.
We had a shock with our water bill this week so we read the meter when we arrived home. They have charged us for more units in 115 days than we use in a whole year. In fact we have been charged for 3 times the actual units we used and South West water is very expensive as it is. I try to be very careful with water so a quarterly bill of over £400 was rather annoying when we were away. I will be ringing them first thing on Monday morning.
