Above Parliament Square

I took this walking through Westminster this morning, the balloons are part of the Tamil demonstration calling for the UK Govt. to put pressure on the Government of Sri Lanka for a cease fire. The demonstration is on-going on Parliament Square where there is a tent occupied by the Tamil hunger striker, Parameswaran Subramaniyan. There are a number of protesters too, maybe 30 or so.

Any demonstrations on Parliament Square always remind of that outrageous legislation that was brought in to ban permanent demonstrations in an attempt to remove Brian Haw the anti war protester.

Sorry this is a bit political...my back blip from yesterday is more lighthearted.
