I wandered into the Abbey today, which was pretty packed. The walls, which are full of fascinating old memorial stones, currently have a decidedly uninspiring series of framed biblical scenes in stitchwork propped up along them and there's hardly a single pillar without a large flat screen TV attached. It doesn't have the atmosphere it used to have.
