My Mum used to get bad headaches, and swore by a dab or two of 4711 eau de cologne on the forehead. I don’t know if it was just the coolness of the liquid and the fresh fragrance, but it really seemed to work. 50 years on, and no stranger to headaches myself after the “big bang”, I wanted to get some of the magic potion, which is still in production. Alas, I could find no supplier willing to ship to the island, although if I were still in the UK no problem. Today I went for the first time to a local gift shop which also sells cosmetics, and to my delight saw this and had to have it. Extra bonus was the 30% price reduction at the till. Very happy.
