Saturday: Kari Buys Pea Shoots

We’ve come away to Pender Island for the weekend, visiting our friends K&P who have a place here.  We drove down to Tsawassen, where we’ve left the car, and met up with them on the ferry.  It’s a smooth sailing, of about 2 hours, which stops at a few of the Gulf Islands en route.

Once on Pender, we stopped off to get a few supplies, including pea shoots, before heading for a pub lunch by the marina.  After lunch, we walked down to the dock where Pauline bought salmon, crab and shrimps, all freshly caught this morning.

Their ‘cabin’ is definitely more of a lovely house with a great view!  Finished the day with an excellent seafood dinner.
