This little cove is protected by the Heugh breakwater which Kath blipped earlier today, and the Pilot Pier, and is normally calm and flat even when the easterlies are lashing in. Not today! I know I'm a newcomer of only 11 years, but I've never seen the seas like today. I took lots of photos at the Heugh as well - I was there at high tide, and yes, Kath, it did get higher and fiercer. I hope the boffins who think shortening the breakwater will make no difference to the local coast were there this week. If not, they really missed something. It was fantastic.
